Vacation Planner Travel (域普假期, a licensed travel agent in Hong Kong, licence no. 240727, “we”) respects your privacy and complies with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). This policy explains how we collect, use, transfer and keep your personal data.
1. Data we collect
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number and country or region.
- Traveller details: title, name in English exactly as on the passport, date of birth, and other details needed for a booking (such as passport details), which we ask for separately only when needed.
- Trip details: destination, travel dates, number of travellers, cabin and room preferences.
- Payment records: FPS or bank transfer records, payment slip screenshots and references. We do not collect or store credit card details on this website.
- Website data: cookies your browser needs for the cart, login and language setting.
2. Why we collect it
- To handle enquiries, quotes, orders and payments.
- To book, ticket, change and refund travel services with airlines, hotels, cruise lines, insurers and other suppliers.
- To contact you about your booking, payment, changes and after sales service.
- To meet legal, regulatory (including the Travel Industry Authority) and accounting requirements.
- To handle complaints and protect our legal rights.
Giving us your data is voluntary, but without the details we need we may not be able to handle your enquiry or booking.
3. Who we share it with
To make a booking we pass the necessary details to the travel suppliers concerned and their booking systems, including suppliers outside Hong Kong. We may also share data with service providers that help us run our business (such as website hosting, email and IT services) and with government or regulatory bodies entitled to it by law. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Direct marketing
We will not use your personal data for direct marketing without your consent. If you later agree to receive promotions, you can opt out at any time, free of charge, by emailing us.
5. Security and retention
- Data is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Payment slips, e-tickets and similar documents are kept in a protected location that only authorised staff can open.
- We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal and accounting requirements, then delete or anonymise it.
6. Access and correction
You have the right to request access to and correction of the personal data we hold about you. Please email enquiry@vpt-travel.com or write to Room 708A, 7/F, Kowloon Plaza, 485 Castle Peak Road, Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong. We may charge a reasonable fee for handling a data access request.
